Prevention education for educators

Darkness to Light, Stewards of Children Training®

Stewards of Children® is a 2.5 hour trauma and evidence-informed training that teaches adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Through the lived experience of survivors and the testimony of experts, Stewards of Children® teaches adults practical actions they can take to reduce instances of child sexual abuse in their organizations, families, and communities. Stewards of Children® is now offered to educators for Continuing Education credit.

Identifying & Reporting Child Abuse Workshop

This 2-hour Michigan Department of Health and Human Services workshop was created for mandated reporters and community members advocating for children. The workshop outlines the legal responsibilities of professionals, identifies signs of abuse, reviews the reporting process, and introduces the purpose of our Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) programs.
